Splash Pad Rules

The splash pad is not supervised. Use at your own risk.

Be courteous/respectful of other park users. Take turns. Have fun!

 

  • Splash pad hours are normally 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm daily, Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Depending on weather, the splash pad may be open past Labor Day with shorter hours. After Labor Day, check the Pekin Park District website, Announcements – Pekin Park District, for more information and hours.
  • Users are responsible for inspecting the splash pad area prior to use to ensure that no hazards are present.
  • The Park District and the City of Pekin are not responsible for lost or stolen items or damage to personal property.
  • The splash pad is intended for children 12 years of age and under. An adult must accompany children.
  • Proper swim attire must be worn while using the splash pad.
  • Swim diapers are required for all diaper-wearing patrons.
  • Surfaces may be hot. Water shoes/proper footwear is recommended.

  • Pets (except service animals)
  • Bathing
  • Smoking/Vaping
  • Fighting
  • Inline Skates
  • Bicycles
  • Soaps/Shampoos
  • Skateboards
  • Water Soaker Toys
  • E-cigarettes
  • Profanity
  • Running/Rough Play
  • Loud Music
  • Glass
  • Water Balloons
  • Food
  • Weapons
  • Abusive Language
  • The splash pad water is not suitable for drinking. Avoid swallowing splash pad water.
  • At the first sign of thunder or lightning, vacate the area and seek shelter. Patrons must wait 30 minutes after the last sign of thunder or lightning before returning.
  • Splash pad use is prohibited by all persons with contagious diseases, infectious conditions, or open or bandaged wounds.
  • A person under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or exhibiting erratic behavior is prohibited from using the park.
  • No trespassing during non-use hours or when the splash pad is closed.
  • The Pekin Park District and the City of Pekin reserve the right to close the facility at any time without advanced notice.
  • The splash pad cannot be reserved for private parties or groups.

Violators are subject to fine or suspension per Ordinance No. 16-5 “Regulating the Use of Parks and Property Owned or Controlled by the Pekin Park District (“Conduct Ordinance”)
