Volunteer Opportunities

Around Our Parks

The Pekin Park District encourages civic groups, Boy and Girl Scouts, Brownies and individuals to make enhancing the park system a volunteer project. Over the years, volunteer efforts have included maintenance of the many hiking trails, building foot bridges, landscaping and planting flower beds. Volunteering at the Park District is a great way for scouts to earn badges or students to earn community service credits. Coaching & Special Events

The Pekin Park District hosts various leagues and special events throughout the year, and we are always looking for volunteers from the community to help make each experience special! From soccer and tee ball coaches to swim meets or special events. We provide the equipment and resources, you just volunteer! Volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer application and a background check will be performed.

A volunteer application can be obtained online at pekinparkdistrict.org, from the recreation office located in Veterans Memorial Arena, or request a form via email.
