Bike Trail
Grab your bike and head to the Pekin Park Bike Trail for 4.3 miles of fun. You can enter the bike trail at numerous points throughout town, but to get the full ride, you’ll want to start at Allentown Road or down at Riverfront Park. As with most bike trails, this path is open and used by more than just bikers. Runners, walkers, skateboarders, rollerbladers, and even families with strollers or dogs (on a leash) are welcome. Remember to be courteous and safe when using the path. Please pass on the left using verbal skill and clean up any mess or litter made by you or your pets. Other than that, enjoy and have fun!
Hiking & Biking Trails
Thanks to over 2000 acres of green space, Pekin Park District also has an impressive system of hiking and biking trails, totaling over 28 miles if you want to conquer them all. You can find maps to the trails located within McNaughton Park, Independence Park, Everett McKinley Dirksen Park, and Tante Park on our website. Make your plan, grab a good set of hiking or walking shoes, pack a lunch (if you’re going to make it an all-day adventure), and get your heart pumping while you explore.
